Report from Summer retreat Annapurna Master Unit August 2010

Namaskar All Dear Brothers and Sisters

It has been a successful retreat in Ananda Annapurna this year: 56 margiis came, olds one and brand new, their vitality and experiences merged together in a blissful and joyful bouquet of souls.

10 people have been initiated and many others got contact with Acaryas for lessons and asanas review.

The whole atmosphere was friendly and vibrating positively from the very beginning. Most of the Margiis arrived the day before the beginning of the program and arranged all the rooms and places for an easy start.

Many hours of Kiirtan positively vibrated all of us, and uplifted our minds in the never ending search for the Divine in each aspect of life. Our moving together, starting from the early hours of Paincajaya continued till the last hours of the avarta kiirtan, and inspired us more and more to share together, till the last evening when the sharing time was really touching with a familiar sense of communion that is a rare gift to be found.

During the program Margiis enjoyed several programs. Three 3 hour Akhanda kiirtans and one 12 hours, asana classes every day, maonabrata, Baba’s video, classes from all the Acaryas covering such subjects as spiritual hygiene, introduction in yoga practices, Prana and mantra, devotion, colors of the mind and guru puja, learning bhajans. Baba gave also the Margiis the chance to experience a fasting day all together.

We were blessed by the marriage ceremony of Maheshvara and Arpita, with their 2 years old baby, the presence of small Liilavati’s daughter Akashii, and even a small pure shining white kitten brightened up some of the gatherings and time together.

During the last evening a touching sharing time kept the Margiis together till 1 in the morning and the same feeling was still going on in the closing ceremony the next day.

The highlight of the program was buying new land for future service projects. One acre of land was bought. Adding to that Brother Indra has donated 2 acres of land just next to MU. This land has many beautiful trees and will be used as a recreation walking and meditation park.

I sincerely wish that everyone could have attended the program this year. Perhaps in the years to come all will be able to enjoy the beauty and hospitality of Russia.
